Overview: A guide to navigating Seattle for at least a few days.

Transportation

Lyft, Uber and Link Light Rail are available in Seattle. Certain neighborhoods like Pioneer Square, Downtown and Capitol Hill are very walkable. Do not go to Pioneer Square alone after dark or if people aren’t around.

    • A modern tech hub where you can see Lake Union

    • Less cool architecture here (more modern than old)

    • Where the interesting, old west architecture is

      • Do not go solo after dark or if people aren’t around

      • The Underground Tour is a really cool way to explore Pioneer Square with a group

  • Capitol Hill Neighborhood

    • Generally great to walk around and explore

    • Lots of murals and graffiti

    • Really pretty when it’s rainy or wet out

  • Pike Place Market

    • Fresh seafood, art and goods sold by local artists, and a view of the waterfront

  • Neko Cat Cafe

    • You can order wine, sake & coffee while playing with adoptable cats

      • 45 minute session to play with 12-15 cats around $22 per person

        • Prices are subject to change

  • Retail Therapy

    • Eclectic women's clothing store filled with very interesting and fun items that are the work of local and global artists

    • A tour that is absolutely worth seeing

      • Old Seattle is underground and the tour includes subterranean walks amid ruins buried after an 1889 fire

    • So educational and fascinating

    • Perfect for a history nerd or someone who likes urban decay or ruins

    • The guide was a hilarious and great storyteller

  • Underbelly

    • Has an underground prohibition vibe

    • One of my favorite bars in Seattle

  • Dreamland

    • Plant-filled space with a disco ball hallway

    • One of my other favorite bars in Seattle

  • Post Alley & Can Can

    • Cabaret performances

    • Classy space, retro vibe & cocktails

    • More of an eatery than a bar

    • Carnival themed bar with an arcade

Sight-seeing

Museums & Botanical Gardens

  • The Spheres

    • Plant-filled pentagonal hexecontahedron panels that are part of the Amazon headquarters

    • They are round and very interesting architecture

    • Open for public tours by appointment

  • Seattle Center and Space Needle

    • Can be seen from various places around Seattle, like Tavolata and The Spheres so you don’t have to venture to it

  • Seattle Japanese Garden

  • The Museum of Flight

  • Museum of Pop Culture

    • Next to the Space Needle
